Puttock House

TOORAK

A single story addition to a Victorian period house on a site limited area and which was further constrained by an existing ‘free form’ in ground swimming pool.

The clients’ uncluttered life style demanded an efficiently planned extension providing a neutral backdrop for their art and love of free space. The addition contains kitchen, living/dinning, master bedroom and ensuite.

By locating the dining area on a new slab straddling one end of the pool the project thoroughly integrates the internal living zone with the garden exterior. The minimalist composition responds to constantly changing light effect induced by the proximity of the pool and its reflections.
